As Robert Louis Stevenson fondly said, "Wine is Bottled Poetry." Find an intellectual hobby along with work that peaks your intellectual fantasy and it will help you perform better at work.  There is nothing more fascinating than watching a great wine masterclass, or then sipping some really amazing Gewurtz or Reislings. For me, wine has been an intellectual fascination since the last 12 years. Being at Napa and Sonoma Valley, I've had the pleasure of trying some of the best wines of the world. What does this have to do with work, or life, shall you ask?  Well - it's simple. If we enjoy our lives while we work and have a balance of hobbies that peak our interest, we will always be happy. It's imperative to realize our own "ikigai" and that doesn't necessarily have to be at someone else's call. Try to paint, try to appreciate wine, try to read a great book; make sure to take out some "me-time" in the flurry of the winds of work. The wind

 Of late, I've quite been enjoying trying new red wines, especially full bodied ones. One of the most interesting wines I've tried is called the Bousquet, Malbec. Malbecs are a tad bit different, but my favorite grape. Each Malbec wine is full-bodied and has a wonderful blueberry and oaky taste to it.  I love pairing Malbecs with a great pizza or a penne arrabiatta.  If you'd like to try this wine please review the following notes: The Taste- The Domaine Bousquet has a very fruity and fresh taste to it. The wine has a zing and that's what makes it fantastic to taste. The best pairing of this wine would be with Italian food like pasta or pizza, or then with a nice steak The Texture - This wine has a very rich and full texture to it. One of the best wines I’ve ever had is the - Scarpetta Frico Rosso Tuscany, ITA. This is one the best red wines as it is full of amazing flavours of berry, and is very smooth.  The best thing about great red wines is that it has to be paired with great food. When I had this wine I tried to pair it with some amazing sushi. Sushi - with wine is a fantastic combination.  Below is a glass - if you ever have a piece of steak, then this wine is a must as well.  Tasting Notes - Cherry, Blueberry Paired with - Sushi, Steak 

“So much wine, so little time.” - Anonymous  When I went to Via Allegro in Toronto I found an excellent white wine. The Pouilly Fuisse has a very fruity taste. It’s low on tannins and tastes very fresh. The notes are of pear and apple. It’s a very fruity wine. The Pouilly Fuisse is from Burgundy France. French wines, being old world wines have a knack for quality taste.  Pairing Notes: Basa / Sole / Halibut or any other white fish and roasted chicken 

"Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together - Elizabeth Taylor" The Beaujoulais Superieur, which comes from the Burgundy Region in France, is a full-bodied wine. The main grape here is Gamay. One of the most interesting aspects of Beaujoulais Superieur is that that is has flavors of red and black plums. The wine tastes a bit tangy.  There are three key aspects of the Beaujoulair, which are interesting to note: 1)  Tasting Notes - Beaujoulais has flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum. 2)  Varietals – Beaujoulais has three varietals – Beaujolais Cru, Beaujoilais Village (30 villages in north of Beaujolais), Beaujoilais Noveau and Rose 3)  International Availability – Beaujoulais is available in the following countries, to name a few: The United States, France, and Japan (Japan has a spa called the Hakone Kowakien Miyama Furin where Beaujolais is poured in the Spa.
