The main grape here is Gamay. One of the most interesting aspects of Beaujoulais Superieur is that that is has flavors of red and black plums. The wine tastes a bit tangy.  There are three key aspects of the Beaujoulair, which are interesting to note: 1)  Tasting Notes - Beaujoulais has flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum. 2)  Varietals – Beaujoulais has three varietals – Beaujolais Cru, Beaujoilais Village (30 villages in north of Beaujolais), Beaujoilais Noveau and Rose 3)  International Availability – Beaujoulais is available in the following countries, to name a few: The United States, France, and Japan (Japan has a spa called the Hakone Kowakien Miyama Furin where Beaujolais is poured in the Spa.
