Three Types of Grapes

There are three types of grapes that I am really fond of:
Cabernet Sauvignon
Merlot
Shiraz

Cabernet Sauvignon is extremely fruity and light. It rings a bell in one's ears of the winds and reminds me of the movie Gone with The Wind.

Merlot is sweet and fruity with high acid content

Shiraz is a bittersweet grape.

From Central Valley, Chile, comes a great cabernet called "Vistamar." I had Vistamar on my way from New York to North Carolina. I sat on the plane and thought I would have wine. Then I decided that I would try one of the cabernets. Vistamar comes from the Central Valley in Chile. I asked the air host what wines they serve. "We have a cabernet sauvignon and an sauvignon blanc he said." I said, "I'll try the cabernet sauvignon." "It's $7 please." "Wine is bottled poetry." — Erin Morgenstern As this quote suggests, having a sip of a perfect red wine is like hearing poetry from Robert Frost, or Oscar Wilde. Wine is music to our ears. As we explore the amazing world of wine, in today’s post, let’s deep dive into an amazing old-world wine called: the Tempranillo. What exactly is a Tempranillo, you might ask? Well, a Tempranillo has the following characteristics: it is medium to full bodied red wine, it’s color is medium to deep ruby, it has three fruity flavors – blackberry, cherry and plum, as well as herbal and savory flavors such as tobacco, herbs, earth and leather. Tempranillo will never cease to exist. It comes from three regions: 1) Rioja, Spain, 2) Ribera Del Duero, Castilla y Leon, and 3) Walla Walla, Washington. The Malbec Affair | The Domaine Bousquet

 Of late, I've quite been enjoying trying new red wines, especially full bodied ones. One of the most interesting wines I've tried is called the Bousquet, Malbec. Malbecs are a tad bit different, but my favorite grape. Each Malbec wine is full-bodied and has a wonderful blueberry and oaky taste to it.  I love pairing Malbecs with a great pizza or a penne arrabiatta.  If you'd like to try this wine please review the following notes: The Taste- The Domaine Bousquet has a very fruity and fresh taste to it.
